12 May 2008: We were officially accepted as members of the F.I.P. (Federacion Internacional de Padel).

2008: UKPF recorded
its first ever International victory, when Maria Del Carmen Marin Heppell
& Liz Anne Wilson defeated the Portuguese pairing of Marta Lampreia &
Ana Rita Ascenso 0-6, 6-1, 6-4 in a team match, which the UKPF lost 2-1.
Later the same day, the UKPF Men’s Team recorded its first ever team victory,
by beating 25 August
2008: UKPF recorded
it’s first ever open draw victory when Maria Heppell & Karen Dunroe beat
the Canadian pairing of Hutchinson & McNamara 3-6, 6-0, 6-2 in the first
round.

2008: UKPF Women’s
Team recorded its first ever international team victory by beating the At
the conclusion of the Championships Brian Thompson, President of UKPF said “I
look upon the 7 match wins in our first International Championship to be very
creditable and I was encouraged that some players were significantly
improving as we progressed in the tournament.”
